“The number of foreclosure filings reported in the U.S. last month more than doubled versus August 2006 and jumped 36 percent from July, with Georgia among states with the highest foreclosure rates.The trend that signals many homeowners are increasingly unable to make timely payments on their mortgages or sell their homes amid a national housing slumpA total of 243,947 foreclosure filings were reported in August, up 115 percent from 113,300 in the same month a year ago, Irvine, Calif.-based RealtyTrac Inc. said Tuesday. There were 179,599 foreclosure filings reported in July.

Because there are not enough crimes to enforce in the Metro area. Now a councilman wants to make baggy and sagging pants illegal. Friends of mine say we should organize/join a potest against this because they thing it’s a racial thing. That may very well be but in my opnion, there are are lot more important racial justice issues happening in the ATL. With all the Vick dog fighting media coverage I’ve gotten worried that the Genarlow Wilson case is losing the attention it deserves. Besides, banning bra straps and thongs? That part will never fly. That cuts waaay too close to Atlanta’s voluminous silicon implant culture. The debate rages on.
